- Long and narrow fins, with a steep leading and trailing edge
- The dorsal surface is grey with no obvious white margin running along the edge or free rear tip.
- The ventral surface is uniform white with light dusky coloration at the apex.
- Radial cartilage is easily seen extending from the base towards the apex.
STATUS AND RANGE
The Blue Shark Prionace glauca is listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™ but not listed in the CITES appendices.
