Canines for felines

New Delhi, India, 11th June 2019—Forest departments across India are being encouraged to highlight the contribution of their wildlife sniffer dog squads towards curbing tiger poaching and illegal trade to see which ones have had the greatest impact. The winners will be announced on the eve of Global Tiger Day, July 29th. 


The special competition, "Canines for Felines" is hosted by TRAFFIC and WWF-India,, and is open to all dog squad teams trained under TRAFFIC’s wildlife sniffer dog programme and currently deployed by forest departments across the country.
