This detailed guidance manual is bespoke to Vietnamese customs legislation and customs procedures for timber and timber products and techniques, such as taking wood samples to identify and monitor the most commonly imported timber.

This training manual has been developed with support from the “Support to VPA process in Viet Nam - Towards legal timber supply chains between VPA countries” project co-sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

Tài liệu này được xây dựng nhằm cung cấp thông tin về các quy định pháp luật hải quan, quy trình thủ tục hải quan có liên quan đến gỗ và sản phẩm gỗ, các kiến thức, kỹ thuật cơ bản về nhận dạng gỗ như cách lấy mẫu để nhận biết được một số loại gỗ thường nhập phổ biến.

Tài liệu được phát triển với sự hỗ trợ từ Dự án Hỗ trợ thực thi Hiệp định VPA/FLEGT tại Việt Nam do Bộ Kinh tế và Hợp tác Phát triển CHLB Đức (BMZ) và Bộ Ngoại giao và Phát triển Anh (FCDO) đồng tài trợ và Tổ chức Hợp tác Phát triển Đức (GIZ).

Shutting down the rhino horn trade - Factsheet

The survival of the rhino is hanging by a thread. Increasing demand from Asia, and especially Viet Nam, is driving a poaching crisis on the African continent with poaching levels in South Africa having risen by a staggering 5000% just between 2007 and 2011. WWF and TRAFFIC, as part of the global Illegal Wildlife Trade Campaign, are working in Viet Nam to help save the rhino from extinction.
