Police caught wooden-handed in Peru

Environmental Police in Pucallpa, Peru, have impounded more than 3,500 ft of illegally harvested mahogany logs from a National Police (PNP) aeroplane, reports Gaceta Ucayalina. The paper also claims that armed forces' aeroplanes are rented out to transfer illegal timber to Lima from Purús province
