Saiga horns seized in China

Airport security officials in Kunming seized 2 Saiga horns in January 2008 and arrested the passenger carrying them. Saiga antelopes are first-class protected species in China. The suspect claimed to have bought the horns in Kunming Juhuacun wholesale market. When forest police visited the market, they found 28 more Saiga horns in the retailer's shop, which he claimed had been bought 3 years previously, reports Yunnan Daily.
