Senior Programme Officer - SouthEast Asia


Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Senior Wildlife Crime Data Analyst


Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia  

Contract: Fixed term, 12 months


 

We are now looking for someone who can lead on the analysis of wildlife trade data in SouthEast Asia. The role will include leading on the analysis in a systematic way, presenting reports on the results and supervising the data entry process to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Candidates will need a degree in a relevant discipline, experience working in conservation or a relevant field and experience with the compilation and analysis of data in Excel/GIS software.

Programme Officer - Japan


Location: Tokyo, Japan   

Contract: Indefinite


 
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Japan office. WWF and TRAFFIC are looking for someone to lead the corporate engagement work in addressing  wildlife trade problems with a focus on the online sector and the exotic pet industry. The role also extends to research and policy work in one of more dimensions of Japan’s wildlife trade issues.


The candidate must be fluent in Japanese and English and have work experience of more than five years. Solid background in working with various stakeholders as well as basic research skills including analysis and scientific writing is preferred.

As TRAFFIC Japan is hosted by WWF Japan within its Conservation Division, the successful applicant will be employed as a full time staff of WWF Japan, which is a registered Public Interest Incorporated Foundation in Japan.

Consultancy Opportunities

Data Entry/Researcher


Location: SouthEast Asia, ideally Bahasa Indonesia

Contract: 24 months


 

The Consultant will be responsible for the collection and input of information, particularly in Bahasa Indonesia, in an accurate and consistent manner into TRAFFIC’s system. Data collected will enable the production of informative analysis at a later state. Regular research will be required to ensure all information being reported is verified (where possible) and captured centrally.

Applicants will need experience with the collection, collation and analysis of data, an eye for detail and familarity with the conservation sector. Fluency in verbal and written English and Bahasa Indonesia is essential.
